Future Civil Unrest in the USA
Touching on what was said about immigration in my responses to the posters on the COG, and to the Gay Prof in particular, I will admit that I have probably allowed myself to become a bit more panicked on it than is really needed: although Thomas W. Chittum’s work on The Civil War II and that video made by those Arizonans doing that Border Watch activity seems to imply that a major civil crisis is looming in the future… I will have to temper those observations that maintaining civil order in regions where we have had massive immigration of unassimilating enclaves of foreigners only becomes an issue when the economic order collapses.
SO, for the time being, I’ll partially retract my earlier stements, and will say that horrible racially or ethnically based killing events or other similar massive civil disturances within US borders will not occur too soon.
That kind of an event is difficult to fix a timeline to, although other events which loom in our future could precipitate such a crisis, for example, my pet crisis, Peak Oil.
Peak Oil itself, could arrive earlier or later, (some pundits optimistically place it as late as 2035, others would have us already past the Hubbert Peak, now on the gentler downslope, but not yet into the cataclysmic drop-off point back to Pleistocene living conditions).
I still sound a bit dramatic though, don’t I?
Truth be told, the effects of post-peak oil production may might be more like the “frog in a slow cooker”. We won’t see a dramatic civilization-shattering event immediately, but it will gradually arrive, as prices and inflation gradually overtake our means to obtain goods and services in a global market. The end of the slow cooker - if we pass the peak in 2035, might not result in the final blackouts until 2050. On the other hand, if we have already amped over the peak and are watching the ground disappear from beneath us, the first hard jolts of landing may be felt sooner than 2015.
The dreaded balkanization of the USA will probably not arrive at the hands of the MECha-istas or the Islamo-facists, but when the local Piggly-Wiggly, Hannaford’s, Shop Rite, or Albertson’s … or … Eek! Wal-Mart can no longer afford to keep things on the shelves, and our paper money achieves a new value only for the short time that it can be used as toilet paper or kindling for a stove fire.
Then would panic and massive civil unrest ensue, and the need for communities to re-localize thier food and energy production, as well as protect themselves from Bandenkrieg (roving gangs of brigands preying upon the general disorder of a society unwillingly gone anarcho-primitivist) seeking out rapable young women and boys, food, oil and toilet paper … notions which become not only a talking point of survivalists or the lunatic fringe, but also the credo of anyone who would live in the dark ages of post-Hubbert Peak society.
While I still support Americanism (revitalizing American Nationalism) as a means of unifying our people together as a way to face the coming crises facing our nation - rampant Islamist jihad, resurgent totalitarianist tendencies in Russia, the silent advancement of Red Chinese military power, and lack of an alternative energy infrastructure to allow post-peak oil civilization to function on a level beyond Malthusian subsistence - we need to put aside agendas of race, creed, sexuality and other forms of political correctness. For the non-Christian citizens of America, this would be our best hope to survive the evil times to come, be it Peak Oil, or Malthusian Collapse or whatever you would name this general sense of fear of some *bad thing* that looms ahead.
For that matter, I’d heavily advise everyone reading this (especially non-Christians) to acquire a King James Bible to keep as reading material (alongside the Army Field Manuals and other items certain to be a rare commodity in a cataclysmic unsettling of society) although it may well be that after a short time, some politician will arise to set things straight, so long as you take his mark, and reject the One True Saviour in the process.
I suspect that people will tend to have deep reverence for anyone who can turn the lights back on after a major blackout, and put food back on the store shelves.
For those of us Christians:
You who have been writing checks at the Bank of the Pre-Tribulation Rapture… I’d say that as nice as that idea sounds, Christians must build communities around thier local churches that are prepared to embrace the possibility that all those Scofield’s Notes and pretty Rapture charts that show the Second Coming, Part I as dogma might have been wrong. I won’t go into a detailed dissection of God’s timing for His Son to return here to set up the 1,000 year reign of Christ in this post, but I will say that Jesus left details regarding the EXACT time of His return quite vague. Even He said that He “knew not the day or the hour”, only the Father knows it.
IF the pre-trib rapture is what unfolds for us, fine. I’ll be happy to admit in heaven that my alarmism was wrong, and we will probably share a laugh about it at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.
IF God in His sovereignty, reveals His Christ to us at the end of seven years of tribulation such as this earth has never seen, and then we are caught up into the sky to meet our Lord and Redeemer in all the majesty of His holiness with our own eyes… then I’d say that those of us desiring to see that day alive would do well to plan around surviving as Christian communities who will be off the grid, and without the guarantee of the Mark of the Beast - man’s last attempt at godless, global government for seven years of what will be the closest that we get to truly seeing hell on this earth.
Beloved Christian brothers and sisters, what Satan and the antichrist (the beast) and his allies desire for us would make the killing fields of Darfur seem tame by comparison. Of course, to be apart from this body is to be with Him, but at the same time, I am not desiring to be halfed by a machete-wielding bandit any time soon.
Again I say: Christians, do not meekly assume that you will escape some measure of persecution, or get warped up to heaven before some rather ugly things happen on this earth.
While I believe that we are not reserved to the tribulation judgements (various seals, trumpets, bowls, etc.) of God, we will (and do already, in other lands) face persecution from the Devil and his anti-christ (the beast), and those who align with them who shall take the mark of the beast.
God is still soveriegn, and He will protect His own, whom He has sealed with His Holy Spirit… but remember “not to fear those who can only destroy the body”. In this vein, let us also be like those wise maids who conserved the oil for their lamps, so that they were ready when the Bridegroom arrived.
While America yet remains, we need to embrace the roots that made America what she is… and dare I say it, we need to embrace the Root of Jesse as well (that is, Jesus Christ) - for He alone is the one, true, Immortal and only Sovereign to whom national obedience yields national greatness.

Could not agree more. The backlash against the un-Americans elements and their anti-Judeo/Christian values is building. It will be a terrible time and the butcher’s bill will be huge. Let us hope and pray it does not come to this.
