Islamic Insanity and Muslim Madness29 November 2006 8:11 am

And now for something completely shocking.

*WARNING* Graphic violence depicted. Not good to see with the kids.

This is our future if we do not act now to resist the advancement of Islam in this country.

On my mind...24 November 2006 4:03 am

turkey

In keeping with the spirit of the holiday… I will talk about some thinks I am thankful for:

What do I have to give thanks for?

  • Father God, who sent His only-begotten Son to die for my sins, and redeem me back to Himself.
  • Jesus, the Son of God, who went to the Cross for me, and as High Priest, makes intercession for me to Father God.
  • The Holy Spirit, through whom Jesus lives in my heart, is my Comforter and leads me into all truth.
  • God’s Word, which is truth, and the King James bible, which is His inerrant word in my native language.
  • My son of about two months. Healthy and with bright shining eyes… and the cutest little smile.
  • A homeland that remains free from terrorist attacks, thanks to the efforts and sacrifices of the soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines serving abroad… may God bless you and keep you in the palm of His hands.
  • A nation that, while beset with foes abroad and fiends within, that still has honest people in it striving to live thier lives free and under God.
  • My friends and family who I can share a hearty meal with.
  • A delicious turkey and a fantastic meal, and nothing got burnt (which given my inability to cook… is a good thing)
  • A home - not a mansion by any stretch, but it keeps me warm and dry and reasonably safe.

I’m sure I could think of more, but all that L-tryptophan from the turkey is kicking in… so I’m off nappy-land with the wife and kiddo. Have a great weekend!

(image purloined without permission… because I thought it was funny, and sadly… true)

Okay. I have my morning coffee slathered in copious amounts of raspberry flavoured syrup, and having gotten over the initial shock of the Democrat’s domination of the House (and pending so much "nail biting" in Montana with Tester - if that name isn’t coincidental I don’t know what is)…

Let us take things in stock for what to expect in the next two years. Reality Check in progress…

Contrary to what you might think from reading the DailyKos, this "new mandate for Democracy, etc. etc."  is not a November Revolution on a par with Lenin overthrowing the Romanov Tsar. It certainly will affect the efficiency with which things will get done (or more likely, resisted) by Bush’s White House… but don’t loose any sleep waiting for wave after wave of Pelosi-issued subpoenas to land on the doorsteps of the GOP, and certainly do not expect an impeachment.

Eh?

No impeachment? I admit that about a year ago, I had stumped for the impeachment of Bush and Cheney, along with firing SecDef Rumsfeld, and kicking John Ashcroft in the shins for good measure. I was wrong in that assessment then, as much as it wrong now, or in the near future.  Maybe Ashcroft still needs a kick in the shins, though.

My reasoning for this is fairly simple: As seemingly unpleasant as the Bush administration has been - particularly with the GWOT/Iraq war, the balance sheet of approx. 3,000 American lives vs. the containment of terrorism away from American shores has thus far been much more effective than the attempts to contain communism in Vietnam 35+ years ago.  That had come at a far great cost of life, over a longer period of time, with far greater mismanagement at high levels of government than can be accorded to Bush and Co.

The comparisons (mostly by the MSM) of post-Tet Offensive Vietnam to post-Ramadan 2006 Iraq strike me as disingenous and in fact, extremely misleading.  I’d be wrong to say that there is no shortage of discontent now, but thus far, things have gone far better than they could have went, especially since nutjobs like Nancy Pelosi (excuse me, the Honourable Speaker Pelosi) and "Hanoi John" Kerry have been prevented from getting thier way over the past six years.  Certainly no massed marches of disaffected veterans - and while many college kids these days tend to espouse liberal views (at least until they eventually outgrow such immature notions)… there has been no incidents alá Kent State University.

Not even the Donkey Kongress (and for the sake of drama, let’s say that (Ted) Kennedy the Hutt lucks out and has a Donkey Senate by close of business today…) is willing to see a President Pelosi, even if for only the better part of nine or six months.

Because any impeachment attempt will be sorely contested and dragged out to the bitter last drop… to speak nothing of gridlocking the government, possibly even bankrupting it (Donkey Kongresses are famous for non-delivery of budgets and freezing up governments, but that’s fodder for a future post) while the Muzzies slip some suitcase nukes or dirty bombs under our bedsteads.  Pelosi-kins would be lucky to squeak out six months as Madam President when all the dust settled.

I can unequivocally assert that the past six years (less the 9-11 attack itself) have made America much safer than the era preceding it.

I am going out on a limb here… and will say that while Bush can certainly expect to encounter opposition, as well as bizzarre legislation that detracts from certain important issues - and perhaps some investigations into this and that (which, if properly targeted, should target incumbent Republican congress-persons who will be defending thier seats in 2008). But no impeachments, and certainly no President Pelosi.

A Bush/Cheney impeachment would become a political suicide for the Donkey Kongress, and would almost guarantee a GOP re-coup in 2008, especially if would-be President Pelosi tries (to paraphrase Yamamoto Isoroku on the eve of Pearl Harbour) to run wild for a few months.

Even if the improbable happens, and Speaker Pelosi or Kennedy the Hutt manage to bring an impeachment proceeding against Bush/Cheney… then it is not unreasonable to expect that the Administration will "take the gloves off", and pursue a substantially more aggressive policy in the Middle East, in the interest of tying down a threat to national security that a Pelosi cabinet would refuse to deal with… after all, what will he have to loose?

More to come, as I cogitate on how conservatives must re-group for 2008… as an old USMC friend of mine might say: "A loser has a fundamental problem: he refuses to survive. Winners on the other hand, suffer minor setbacks… but they also adapt and eventually overcome."

Political Rants 4:20 am

Amid rumours of ballot tampering and cross-state bussing of folks across borders… it seems that this race was uncomfortably close. Maybe my attempts to summon forth Godzilla from the depths of the sea failed, as Diebold-zilla makes his foul march across the land.

Fortunately (or not? ) he has not arrived in my patch of red in New York State. The wrinkly but kindly and affable old ladies at the Polling Place inform me that the State will be dropping horrendous amounts of money to attract Diebold-zilla though, starting next election year.

Yeek. What is a boy to do - I think we need a court injunction or something against Diebold-zilla. Let’s do it old school, with paper ballots, or just keep the mechanical voting machines we have now… *grumble*

Anyways…

As of 11:10pm, Wolf Blitzer is proclaiming a Democrat victory in the House, and Anderson Cooper is almost trembling with joy as he reflects on the syllables "Speaker Nancy Pelosi" falling off of his lips. There are only a handful of races to play out at this point, but it doesn’t look good for the GOP. It will be an interesting last two years of Bush to be sure, but don’t look for impeachments or massive bouts of subpoenas just yet… In my own backyard, it is practically a clean sweep for Democrats:

NYS Guv’na = Eliot Spritzer. Originally one of my favoured candidates, until I found out how mum he was on issues of counter-terrorism, and his desire to close down the nuke plant that supplies upwards of 20% of New York’s energy. Yeah, I have his campaign thingie on the right-hand side of my blog, but I regret it after the fact. This race was a crushing loss for John J. Faso and for NYS as well, he was tough on crime, strong on security/anti-terrorism and not ashamed of profiling against Islamists, as well as progressive on energy and reduction of taxes on all levels (both business taxes and propertty taxes).

Comptroller = Alan "the retirement fund milker" Hevesi. Winner. Democrat. Fink at large. A LOT of dirt on this guy, including using government funds to chauffeur his wife around. Strikes me as an all-around scumbag.

Attorney General = Andrew Cuomo. Son of former Guv’na Mario, who was widely viewed as one of the worst guv’nas the "People’s Soviet Socialist Republic of New York" ever had). Arch-liberal who seeks to repeal the death penalty. Way to go, let’s keep some more people on the government dollar in the pen. And mired in a number of controversies as compared to Jeanine Pirro (although to her discredit, she couldn’t keep her mouth respectfully shut during a NYPD funeral at which she was a guest).

US Senator: Hillary Clinton. A crushing defeat for John Spencer, and likely a no-brainer, as Ms. Hillary Moneybags-Clinton through a mind boggling $30M USD at her race.

US House: Many Democrats in the lead as of this writing: 19 Democrats, 2 Repubs keeping or winning thier House seats, and 8 seats still undecided. The remaining races for NYS House seats look to fall to the Demos as well (big shocker, as NYS has perennially been a blue state). Of interest to me was John Hall’s race (NY-19) who, despite a few areas I don’t agree with him on (particular the Indian Point issue) - but anything is better than that dead weight who is Sue Kelley. The woman has the personality of a moldy tree stump, and has been thoroughly whoring herself out to big campaign contributors, and ignoring her consituency. As of this posting, John Hall’s numbers are still being tallied, and is dead even with the Tree Stump.

Locally, the Republicans in my districts have the lead, with Nancy Calhoun projected for the win for NY State Assembly Dist. 96, and NY State Senator Bill Larkin Jr. has kept his seat in the 39th Senate Dist. Yes, I live in a particularly red patch in an ocean of blue that is New York State. Most of that blue is concentrated in a singularity around Manhattan though, so it balances out a bit, I think.

I think I feel my taxes will be increasing shortly, but I also foresee Bush pulling out the VETO pen quite a bit more, if the Demos have thier way.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi. I swear if I hear that Wolfie B. sing that phrase once again… I will need to digest an entire package of ROLAIDS.

So once again, we find ourselves on another electronically-assisted Election Day… and the frontline states of Ohio and Florida once again will have to face the dreaded Diebold™ Monster.

http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2006-11-07-election-main_x.htm

Indeed, who will have thier votes eaten by Diebold’s proprietary Digest-a-Vote™ technology? Or would that be the Karl Rove Hack-A-Tron™ at work again? :)

Only time will tell.

To which I now offer a solution for the upcoming election in two years, none other than the "Terror of Tokyo" himself:
